The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane is proud to announce that it has been chosen by the National Endowment for the Arts and Arts Midwest to receive a grant under its Shakespeare in American Communities Initiative. This grant will provide partial funding to support the January 2015 remounting of A Midsummer Night’s Dream for some 6,000 area middle and high school students! This is the 8th such grant that the Festival has been awarded in the 12 years that the program has been offered. Other recipients of this year’s grant include Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the American Shakespeare Center, The Folger Theatre, The Guthrie Theatre, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and Shakespeare & Company.
