Presented by The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane and the English Speaking Union

ESU chapter president Dave Grissett, 2014 winner Madeleine McClain & her teacher, Greg Baber.

Each spring, in collaboration with the New Orleans Chapter of the International English Speaking Union, the Festival hosts a Regional Shakespeare Competition.

This local-level competition is open to students from the New Orleans region in grades 9-12. The winner of this preliminary event will receive an all-expense paid trip to compete at the National Shakespeare Competition in New York City! The winner of that competition is given a scholarship to attend a summer training program in Great Britain.

To participate, a school must conduct its own competition to advance a winner to compete at Tulane. The process is easy and the rewards great.
